CHINA LAUNCHES THE WORLD'S FIRST FASTEST 10G BROADBAND NETWORK.
On April 20, 2025, China, under the leadership of China Unicom and Huawei, built the first 10G broadband network in history in Sunan County, Hebei. With a latency of 3 ms, it offers upload and download speeds of 1,008 Mbps and 9,834 Mbps, respectively, using 50G-PON technology. This supports cutting-edge apps like VR and 8K streaming. The launch is confirmed by a number of sites, including The Economic Times and The Times of India. Even though the network's current rollout is only available in certain locations, it represents a significant technological advancement.
